I originally started out in live sound after completing a HND in music technology but decided to further my education and gained a first with a B.Sc. (Hons) in Professional Broadcast Techniques at Salford University.
From here I started as an equipment technician for Hammerhead TV in Manchester where I stayed for over 6 years.
In my 2nd year I completed the BBC Sound Recording On Location course and then became the staff sound recordist going out as the preferred sound recordist on all of the crew jobs.
This is where I built up a vast amount of work experience and strong relations with clients working on projects for many of the major broadcasters both in the UK and abroad.
I also have a very good technical understanding of not only sound equipment but also all of the main HD camera formats, lighting and grip equipment as I was also responsible for preparing and maintaining kit for various production companies and independent clients.
